ABOUT EDGE

The last two and half decades have been a wild rollercoaster ride. Professionally, I’ve experienced the start-up dream that began at early stage start-ups on the East Coast, moved into venture capital in London UK, soared through a fast-growing company in Arizona, landing at its acquirer in Germany, and finally “making it” as a senior executive at a global business.

And then it happened, the “What am I doing?” moment. I paused for a moment to reflect on, what is unique that I bring. i.e. “What is my EDGE?”

It turns out, my EDGE is moving things forward and making things happen! Professionally, this had crystallized into a career of working with business leaders to develop actionable strategies and ensuring the strategies were executed with the defined goals being met.

I think of strategy and execution as two sides of the same coin. As in a coin, the two sides are connected by a narrow EDGE that is often overlooked, but keeps the coin rolling forward. At EDGE- Strategic Planning, our purpose is to help you secure the EDGE between your business strategy and its execution, ensuring your organization moves forward and achieves its goals.

 

Founder

Manasi Ramanna

Manasi has spent the last two and a half decades working in the high-growth companies in the US and Europe. She began her career in R&D and has held leadership roles in finance, commercial operations and strategy.

Manasi’s experience is complimented by her advisory and investor roles in venture capital, and she has worked closely with the C-suite and Boards of companies to develop and implement strategies with successful outcomes.

She served as a Mentor in Residence at Duke New Ventures, is on the Board of the non-profit, Project Stanley, and since 2020, has volunteered as a program leader at Women In Bio (RTP Chapter).

Manasi enjoys traveling with her family and exploring new cultures.

Her relevant professional accomplishments include her contributions to:

  • the successful series D fund raise ($125M) at AgBiome LLC.

  • the successful strategic transformation of a 110-year old company, Merz KGaA, from a pharmaceutical to an aesthetics medicine company

  • the growth of a start-up, Ulthera, from revenue of $18M to $114M, while growing profitability and becoming cash flow positive in the same three-year period

  • the sale of Ulthera, Inc. for $600M in an industry with 1.5X sales multiple.
